Check an asset before you trust it

Search a single IMEI, serial number, VIN or chassis number. Enter identifiers only—never a phone number, licence plate, Aadhaar number, address or other personal information.

Results are designed to prevent misuse of personal information while still helping buyers, finders and communities act carefully.

Verified account feature: protected-device and vehicle lookups require an approved verified account. Free accounts cannot use this identifier search.

Important: no active report or no result does not prove lawful ownership, original sale, condition, warranty, or that an item is brand new. Always verify official paperwork and the seller independently.

Protect your own device or vehicle

Your identifier is linked privately to your signed-in Aware account. You can later report it stolen, mark it recovered or archive it without exposing your identity publicly.

Register an asset

Only register assets you own or are authorised to manage. Aware never publishes the personal details of the person who registered it.

Enter the 15-digit IMEI exactly as shown by the device.
This name is visible only in your own protected-asset list. It is never shown in public lookup results.

Use the registry responsibly

It is a safety signal, not a substitute for legal ownership checks, police reports, manufacturer records or common sense.

Before you buy

Check the identifier, inspect original invoices where available, compare the identifier on the item and paperwork, and use a trusted seller. An unlisted identifier is not a clean bill of health.

If an item is reported stolen

Do not buy it and do not try to trace or confront an owner. Keep a record of the listing or seller details and use the appropriate local authority or lawful channel.

If you lose an asset

Update your private registry status quickly, secure connected accounts or remote access, and file an official report wherever this is appropriate for your situation.
